Aspen is lengendary for its winter skiing. There are other winter activities, such as, ice-skating, sleigh rides, dogsledding, snowshoe tours, shopping, cross-country skiing, pub socializing and cultural events in the town of Aspen (don’t forget the celebrity watching). In January the Winterskol Carnival takes place in Aspen and the four nearby ski areas display ice and snow sculptures and host downhill races, torchlight skiing and fireworks. In the summer the town is still going with activities such as hiking, biking, fishing, horseback riding, mountain climbing, four-wheeling trips/tours, and white water rafting. For those who want less activity there are tours to see Aspen’s interesting Victorian architecture. And great dining anytime of the year.
