Hotel Reservations near HUDSON RIVER REGION WINE COUNTRY
New York State's Hudson River Region is famous for Sleepy Hollow, West Point Military Academy, and for the oldest operating winery in the United States of America. Since the mid-1800s, the Hudson River Region’s moderate temperatures have been perfect for growing the Euro-American grapes that create Seyval Blank, Baco Noir, Chardonnay, and Cabernet Francs. These varietals sustain more than 20 wineries today.
Each June this Region hosts the Annual Hudson Valley Wine & Food Festival. This celebration offers local wines, gourmet food, shopping, and live music. Throughout the year, visitors can enjoy tastings, art galleries, concerts, and dining. Guests may also walk the Shawangunk Wine Trail on the West side of the Hudson River (New Paltz, New York) or the Dutchess Wine Trail on the East side (Clinton Corners, New York).
If you’re planning to visit the Hudson River Region wineries, please note that the hours at each location may change depending on the season.
