Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk in California is a half-mile long historic amusement park next to Santa Cruz’s mile long main beach next to the Pacific Ocean. It includes more than 34 rides and attractions (featuring two national historic landmarks: the 1924 Giant Dipper roller coaster and the 1911 Looff Carousel plus plenty of modern ride thrills), dozens of restaurants, shops, games. The Boardwalk is your admission-free hot spot for beach vibes and classic rides! Come to where the ocean meets the action!
Choose from heart-pounding rides like the Hurricane, Tsunami, Chaos, and Ghost Blasters. Or classic rides like the Giant Dipper roller coaster and Looff Carousel. Plus, there are great rides for kids of all ages -- over 30 rides in all! Explore exciting indoor attractions. Enter Sector 7 for wild laser tag action. Step into the Casino Fun Center for state-of-the-art video games, pinball and more. In Neptune's Kingdom, play pool, miniature golf and games. Cruise on over to the Boardwalk Bowl for a few games or to try Atomic Bowling.
Other attractions include Swing and Salsa Dance Parties, Cook-Offs, Expos. There is also live entertainment like free Friday Night Summer Bands featuring classic rock bands from the ‘60s, ‘70s, and ‘80s.
Santa Cruz is located 75 minutes South of San Francisco, 45 minutes North of the Monterey/Carmel area, and 30 minutes from the San Jose area. The Boardwalk is open daily Memorial Day through Labor Day -- and on weekends and most holidays during the spring and fall. Operating hours vary.
