Located in North Hollywood, California, outside of the Academy of Television Arts and Science headquarters, you will find The Television Hall of Fame. Life-size bronze statues of your favorite TV personalities adorn the pink and gray stone courtyard, such as Jack Benny with his famous violin in hand, Lucille Ball sitting perched atop a wall, and Johnny Carson looking like he is ready to deliver his nightly monologue. A bubbling fountain topped with a giant 15-foot-tall golden replica of an Emmy award sets center stage of this outdoor plaza. There are also statues of acclaimed TV writers, such as Rod Sterling; and producers, such as Norman Lear. On one wall there are carved likenesses embossed in the wall honoring TV notables such as Walter Cronkite and Steve Allen. On the third floor of the 8-story tower behind the fountain is a small research library open to the public. This is mostly an outdoor museum and is open daily, year-round.
